Description

The revolutionary, STREAMWAY® Medical Suction System is an automated, direct-to-drain device that’s changing the way healthcare facilities collect and also disposes of potentially infectious waste fluid

  • It’s safer
  • It’s continuous.
  • Eliminates canisters, carts and evacuated bottles
  • Significantly reduces exposure risk
  • Cuts expenses
  • Saves time and labor
  • Provides uninterrupted suction
  • Frees valuable floor space
  • Minimizes environmental impact

How the STREAMWAY Continuous Medical Suction Device Works;

The STREAMWAY Continuous Medical Suction Device installs in or on the wall with direct-to-drain fluid removal for safe, continuous collection and disposal. Of interest, an illuminated touch screen provides safe control over surgical suction levels, at the same time displays an automated measurement of volumes. The single patient procedure filter as well as the tissue trap both prevents cross-contamination, moreover, allows for tissue retrieval. To clean, firstly, detach the filter, connect the cleaning solution bottle and activate the rapid clean cycle while using the touch screen.

Benefits of the STREAMWAY Continuous Medical Suction Device

The STREAMWAY® Continuous Medical Suction Device provides a carefully engineered waste fluid management system. Additionally, it avoids interruptions caused by frequent and potentially hazardous canister changes. Most notably, through direct-to-drain installation, this closed system automatically measures and uniquely disposes of surgical fluids and then provides easy, environmentally sound operation. Importantly with no fluid canisters to empty, it’s more cost effective to operate, surprisingly staff avoids biohazard exposures while spending less time on cleanup.

The STREAMWAY Continuous Medical Suction Device enables hospitals and surgical centers to:

  • Reduce overhead costs
  • Eliminate canister replacement & disposal
  • Avoid expensive hazardous material disposal
  • Reduce the legal risk of staff exposure to biohazards
  • Enhance efficiency and profitability of procedures
  • Operate with safe, continuous suction
  • Eliminate interruptions that consume time and labor

Improve safety

  • Patients — Enhance patient-focused care through time-saving, automated operation
  • Staff — Significantly reduce the risk of exposure to biohazard fluids and increase efficiency
  • Environment  — Truly eliminate canisters and reduce biohazard waste

Intended Uses:

  • Operating Rooms
  • Intensive Care Units
  • Pathology Suites
  • Emergency Rooms
  • Surgical Centers
  • Doctors’ Offices
  • Specialty Departments: Cystoscopy, Endoscopy, Urology, Radiology, and others.

How the STREAMWAY Continuous Medical Suction Device is Different

The STREAMWAY® device takes an innovative and truly environmentally friendly approach to patient and staff safety. For instance, the integrated device provides efficient and effective direct-to-drain surgical waste handling designed for surgical centers and various procedure rooms throughout hospitals. Anyone who handles waste fluid for arthroscopic procedures the old way knows that you’re continually filling canisters, sometimes up to eight canisters in a case. Each changeover takes a few minutes, so that’s the time you can’t pay attention to the patient. With STREAMWAY, no manual intervention is needed, so nurses can stay focused on what the patient and doctor need.  Not to mention built-in safety features, such as staff confirmation of the vacuum level before the system will turn on. The STREAMWAY Device is Health Canada approved. Click here so that you can see more on how the device functions.

Canister Free

Another key point, each year, millions of used surgical canisters are sent to landfills. That also means hospitals and outpatient centers spend significantly on materials and hazardous waste management. Ultimately, your facility can save that money as well as engage in environmentally sound practices. With this in mind, use of the STREAMWAY saves on the cost of disposing and replacing canisters, furthermore, eliminates risky fluid transport.

Efficient, Uninterrupted Performance

Through its sophisticated design, The STREAMWAY Device promotes safer, more profitable surgical procedures. Not to mention, it automatically collects, measures and disposes of surgical fluids into the plumbing system without interruption. Above all, its unlimited capacity means no waiting for canister changes, in the meantime it’s easy cleanup saves on labor costs.

Convenient Wall Mount

By creating a compact collection and disposal unit to fit on or recessed into the wall, most importantly, The STREAMWAY provides staff with more space to move freely around the room. With this in mind and unlike other units, to be sure, it doesn’t require any storage or explicitly floor space.
